Your use of BeepoTalk is governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (standard EULA), together with the BeepoTalk terms below. The BeepoTalk terms add rules specific to this app; where they conflict with the standard EULA on the license to the app itself, the standard EULA controls.
BeepoTalk is provided by Mediaville Co., Ltd. (미디어빌 주식회사), publishing as HedgieLabs. Contact: support@hedgielabs.com.
1. Who can use BeepoTalk
You must be 18 or older. BeepoTalk is a language-exchange service for practicing languages with other adults. It is not a dating service. One person, one account.
2. Community rules: zero tolerance
We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. You must not post or send:
- harassment, bullying, threats, or hate based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability or any other protected trait;
- sexual content, nudity, or requests for sexual or romantic contact;
- anything involving minors in a sexual or exploitative way (reported to authorities);
- spam, scams, requests for money, advertising, or links to such content;
- impersonation, fake profiles, or someone else's photos or personal information;
- violent, illegal or dangerous content.
We filter text automatically, review every report within 24 hours, and may remove content and suspend or permanently ban accounts that break these rules, without notice. You can report and block anyone from inside the app.
3. Your content
You keep ownership of what you post. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, transmit, translate and correct it only to operate and improve BeepoTalk, and to review it for safety. Posts in Moments are visible to other users; chats are visible to the people in them. When you delete your account, your content is removed as described in the Privacy Policy.
4. Translation and correction
Translation (Microsoft Azure Translator) and grammar correction (Anthropic) are machine-generated and can be wrong. Use them as learning aids, not as professional or legal translation. They require your consent to send text to providers outside Korea (see the Privacy Policy).
5. BeepoTalk Pro subscription
- Pro is an auto-renewable subscription sold through the App Store. Prices and periods are shown in the app before you buy.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; you can manage or cancel it in your App Store account settings. Refunds are handled by Apple.
- If a free trial is offered, any unused part ends when you buy a subscription.
- Pro never limits your ability to connect with people, reply, or use safety tools; those stay free.
6. Fair use of "unlimited AI translation"
The Pro perk "unlimited AI translation" means no daily translation cap for normal, personal, human-paced use of the app. To protect the service from automated or bulk use, a technical safety ceiling applies to each account: currently 1,000 translation and correction requests per day, resetting at midnight Korea time (KST). Ordinary users are not expected to reach it. We may adjust the ceiling to keep it well above normal use. Automated, scripted or bulk translation, or using BeepoTalk as a translation service for content outside your conversations and Moments, is not allowed.
7. Ads and rewards
The free version shows ads. Optional rewarded ads may give an in-app benefit such as a temporary profile boost. Rewards have no cash value, cannot be transferred, and are never required to connect with people.
8. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time in the app (Me, Delete account). We may suspend or end accounts that break these terms or the law. Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store subscription.
9. Disclaimers and liability
BeepoTalk is provided "as is". We do not verify every user's identity or statements (a verified badge means a moderator matched a selfie to the profile photos, nothing more). Be careful when sharing personal information or meeting anyone. To the extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for the conduct of other users. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law.
10. Changes and law
We will announce changes in the app and on this page at least 7 days before they take effect (30 days for changes unfavorable to you). These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Disputes go to the competent court under the Korean Civil Procedure Act.
